Avia Company was founded in 1919 by engineers Pavel Beneš and Miroslav Hajn as a Company for Aircraft design, production and repair. At present Avia Propeller is well known in the world of general aviation as the manufacturer of propellers for single and twin engine aircraft.


Avia Propeller operates out of its main office in Prague, close at the Airport Letnany (LKLT), in the Czech Republic, where highly skilled people are producing the highest quality of aircraft propellers.
Several service stations are available for customers throughout the whole world.


Our propellers bring you the unique solution of removable blades. Shipping and storage of such a propeller is much easier and cheaper compared to the fixed blade option.

1919:
Avia was founded by engineers Pavel Beneš and Miroslav Hajn

1920:
The first low-wing monoplane BH-1 flown

1952 – 1958:
Design and production of Avia propellers V401, V405, V410, V411

1960:
Licensed production of the IL-14 aircraft

1970:
The first successfully operated autonomous V503A propeller installed on Trener aircraft series

1973 – 1974:
Introduction of the modernized M337 piston engine and the radial M462RF engine

1975:
Full feathering 3-bladed V508 prop with reversing certified

1985:
Full feathering 5-bladed V510 prop with reversing certified

1992:
Establishment of a new company, Avia-Hamilton Standard Aviation, to manufacture propellers with Hamilton Standard as the majority shareholder

1996:
The first P-51 Mustang vintage propeller blade licensed by Hamilton Standard was manufactured in Avia

1999:
Establishment of a new company, Avia Propeller, to manufacture propellers with Mr Gerd Muehlbauer as the majority shareholder

1999:
Introduction of the new AV propeller series with hubs manufactured from aluminum alloy

2004:
Introduction of light weight and small hydraulic propeller governors

2010:
Introduction of hydraulic propeller governors for turboprop engine

2011:
The new 5-bladed AV-725 propeller for commuter aircraft is certified

2019:
The new 4-bladed AV-804 propeller for commuter aircraft is certified
